The Certificate Course in Community Based Work with Children and Youth
Our innovative distance-learning course is making a difference to vulnerable children all across East and Southern Africa.
The Certificate Course in Community-Based Work with Children and Youth is an accredited, 18-month course delivered at minimal cost in ten countries in Africa. It is professionalizing community-based care for children and youth, so that our most vulnerable populations receive the care and support they are entitled to.
You can watch our short documentary on the Certificate below.
The course is delivered by supported open distance learning in Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Lesotho, Kenya and Mozambique, and is the first accredited course of its kind. Developed by REPSSI, UNICEF and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (the African Centre for Childhood), there are currently 1,000 students on the course.
If you are a government, company or organisation who wishes to sponsor community workers to enrol in the Certificate Course, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
